Co-ed and Single-Gender Housing

You are here

Lehigh University offers co-ed housing to support our ongoing commitment to developing environments that are welcoming and inclusive.

Single-Gender housing is defined as a single-gender floor or wing within a building which is co-ed overall. An example of this would be where the A1 wing is male and the B1 wing is female or where the 1st floor is male and the 2nd floor is female.

A Co-ed building is defined as a building which houses people who identify as both male and female.

A Co-ed floor or wing is defined as alternating male and female rooms, suites/apartments on the same floor with single-gender bathrooms.

Co-ed housing is available for all undergraduate students who are eligible for university housing.

All first-year residence halls are co-ed buildings, and the distribution of wings and floors varies in each building.

Co-ed housing is also available and suite/apartment style housing for upperclass students.
