Early Arrival Information 2026
Some students and student groups may have permission to move into their Fall assignment earlier than their scheduled arrival date.
Early Arrival
Students in certain University Groups may be approved to move back to campus early in the Fall, and individual students can request to arrive early under certain circumstances. The process and timeline for both are reviewed below.
Dining options on campus will open the evening of Saturday, August 22nd. Before that, you will be responsible for your own meals or they will be provided by your group.
Individual Students
Students with extenuating circumstances can petition to come back to campus early by completing the Early Arrival Request form, which is due by July 26th.
Students should make every effort to arrange travel during regular move-in for their class year. Move-In for Upperclass Students takes place August 22nd and 23rd. Traditional First Year MOOV-In takes place on Thursday, August 20th.
Check-In and Billing:
- If your request is approved, you will be informed of the check-in location, date and time for your early arrival.
- The cost for Early Arrival is $50 per night until the regular move-in date for your class year. The bill will be sent to your Bursar’s Account during the first week of classes.
- Requests made after July 26th will incur a $100 processing fee in addition to the cost per night.
- Students who arrive early without permission will be fined a $150 processing fee and will be charged $50 per night until their scheduled arrival date.
