Access the Buildings
To check-in proceed directly to the Singleton & Hitch Residence Halls. You do not need any keys other than your ID card. Parking/unloading for Hitch House can be accessed by going through the Delta Upsilon Parking Lot.
Your ID card will allow you to enter the exterior doors of the buildings. Once inside, you must encode your ID card in the foyer of the main entrance. To do so, hold your card up to the reader for about 5 seconds - it will rapidly blink blue and then turn green. Once it turns solid green, that means it has been encoded, and you can now use it access your suite and bedroom.
You must re-encode your ID card every 5 days in order to maintain access to the building. Encoders are located in the foyer of each building, as well as near the laundry room, by the Amazon Lockers, and by the glass doors leading to the hallways. Please note that the card readers inside the elevators are not part of this system and will not re-encode your card. More information is available on the encoding guide.
