The University’s managed travel program is designed to meet the travel needs of individuals who travel on official University business. Lehigh has partnered with CTP who has over 33 years of experience in serving Higher Ed. for over 185 institutions. Booking through Lightning/CTP allows the University to exercise a strong duty of care, which includes the benefit of quickly locating and assisting traveling employees in times of emergency. If you do not currently have a Lehigh Lightning travel profile, please create one before attempting to book travel. If you previously had a Concur profile linked to your Lehigh email this has automatically transfered into Lightning.
Travel Agency Fee Structure: Use Lehigh University’s preferred provider, Collegiate Travel Planners (CTP) and their Lightning system to book domestic and international travel, hotel and car rentals. Please use this link for a detailed view of CTP's fee structure.
Group Travel (10+): When needing to book group travel, to help expedite the request, please complete the Group Travel Request Form
Price Matching: If you find the exact airfare priced differently from CTP, please send na.pricematch@ctptravelservices.com an email requesting a price check. Provide screenshots with what you found and where in comparison with what CTP has listed on their site. CTP will get back to you within 2 to 4 hours.
Unused Tickets: "Unused" airline tickets are a credit to an airline that resulted from canceling a changeable, but non-refundable ticket. If you have unused travel credits available, we encourage you to use them for any upcoming university travel. Unused credits can be viewed in your Lightning Profile and when attempting to book travel.
Small International Flight Carriers: If you are searching for a small, regional, international flight carrier and are unable to find them in Lightning, please reach out to a CTP Agent for assistance.
