Purchasing and University Logistics, Office of Research & Sponsored Programs and the Office of General Counsel created LUCA (Lehigh University Contracts Administration) to streamline the contract review and approval process for University faculty and staff. 

Since a contract is a legally binding document, it is imperative that all contracts (regardless of name: contracts, agreements, memoranda of understanding, proposals, terms and conditions, etc.) are reviewed by the appropriate University offices to ensure that the University's interests are adequately addressed and protected.

While we request a minimum of 14 business days to review contracts, the negotiation process may take much longer. It is highly recommended that contracts are submitted for review well in advance in order to allow adequate time for the negotiation process to take place.
