New Bus Routes Announced

Transportation Services will be piloting a new transit system beginning on Monday, January 23, 2023. We have listened to the questions, comments, and concerns received this past fall and through the strategic planning process. The feedback we’ve heard has shaped this new system to better serve the Lehigh community’s transportation needs.

Three bus routes have been added in order to serve Mountaintop, Goodman, and Saucon Village more effectively. As such, the OnDemand bus service has been temporarily discontinued during this pilot program.

WEEKDAYS - Monday through Friday

The Mountaintop Express (ME) 

Transports passengers directly to and from the Asa Packer campus and Mountaintop campus with two (2) buses.

Bus # 1 will operate from 6:45 AM - 8:15 PM

Bus # 2 will operate from 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM
 

The Saucon Express (SE)

Transports passengers from Saucon Village to the Goodman and Mountaintop campuses with two (2) 15 passenger vans.

Van # 1 will operate from 6:45 AM - 8:15 PM

Van # 2 will operate from 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM

The Iacocca Hall bus stop will serve as the transfer hub.  

• Passengers who boarded the Saucon Express van can get to the Asa Packer campus by getting off at Iacocca Hall and boarding the Mountaintop Express.
• Passengers who boarded the Mountaintop Express can get to the Goodman campus and Saucon Village by getting off at the Iacocca Hall transfer hub and boarding the Saucon Village Express.

The Goodman Express (GE)

Transports passengers directly to and from the Asa Packer campus from 6:50 AM - 9:50 PM with one bus.

The Cundey Varsity House and Goodman commuter lot bus stops will serve as transfer locations.

• Passengers who boarded the Saucon Express van can get to the Asa Packer campus by getting off at the Cundey Varsity House or Goodman commuter lot stop, and boarding the Goodman Express.
• Passengers who boarded the Goodman Express can get to Saucon Village by getting off at the Cundey Varsity House or Goodman commuter lot bus stop, and getting on the Saucon Village Express.

The Packer Express (PE)

Will continue to operate as it has in past years from 6:30 AM - 2:30 AM with one bus.

AccessLU will continue to operate as it has in past years from 6:30 AM - 12:00 AM.

Please note:  On Demand Service will no longer be available as the Mountaintop and Saucon Express will be operating until 11:00 PM.

WEEKENDS - Saturday and Sunday

The Campus Connector (CC) 

Transports passengers to/from all bus stops located on the Asa Packer, Mountaintop, Goodman campuses and Saucon Village from 10:00 AM - 12:00 AM with one van. The Campus Connector will take passengers from Asa to Mountaintop to Goodman to Saucon Village. From Saucon Village it will take passengers back to Goodman to Mountaintop to Asa Packer campus.

Please note: On Demand Service will no longer be available as the Campus Connector will be servicing all three campuses and Saucon Village.

The Packer Express (PE) 

Will continue to operate as it has in past years from 10:00 AM - 2:30 AM with one bus.

AccessLU will continue to operate as it has in past years from 10:00 AM - 12:00 AM.
