AccessLU: Lehigh's Accessibility Shuttle
This accessibility shuttle provides pick-up/drop-off at University parking facilities and buildings as requested through our goLehigh TRANSIT app for those with injuries, permanent disabilities, or other accessibility limitations. AccessLU users may utilize goLehigh TRANSIT for on-demand bus service Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM - 8:30 PM*, and Saturday through Sunday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 AM.
*For transportation Monday - Friday between 8:30 PM and 11:00 PM, Transportation & Parking Services has partnered with Lyft Pass to provide the following:
- Two free one-way rides to or from any campus location.
- Lyft Passcodes will be valid Monday - Friday, 8:30 PM - 11:00 PM, from September 9 through December 31, 2024.
- Service for those with injuries, permanent disabilities, or other accessibility limitations
- Pick-up/drop-off at University parking facilities and buildings as requested
- Service to car-free areas of campus
- Service to inaccessible locations such as Rathbone and Centennial I residential facilities.
- Service from between any Lehigh University campus building or parking facility
- Wheelchair lift
- Daily repeat service as scheduled with AccessLU
- On-Demand Service (on a first-come first-serve basis)
Those with a valid Lehigh University ID with a state-issued Disability Plate or hangtag or a Lehigh issued hangtag may utilize AccessLU. Please provide a copy of your state issued disability permit, placard, or plate to our Parking office. Copies may be scanned to inpark@lehigh.edu.

How to use the goLehigh TRANSIT app:
All on-demand rides for accessLU should be requested through the "goLehigh TRANSIT" app. AccessLU users must have prior approval to be granted accessLU service.
Download the "goLehigh TRANSIT" app and log in using your assigned credentials:
To request a pickup:
- Open the goLehigh TRANSIT app
- Tap the hamburger menu on the upper left
- Tap on accessLU
- Login to the app and check the Remember me box so you won’t have to log in next time
- Tap on the address line below "Pick Up Spot" and select your location from the dropdown list (you can type building names, numbers or address to narrow the search)
- Tap on the address line below "Drop Off Spot" and select your location from the dropdown list (you can type building names, numbers or address to narrow the search)
- To schedule a future ride tap on the calendar and/ / or the clock to select the date and time under “Times”
- Complete any applicable fields under “More Information”
- Scroll down and tap "REQUEST TRIP"
To cancel a pickup (including scheduled and recurring):
- Open the goLehigh TRANSIT app
- Tap the hamburger menu on the upper left
- Tap on “accessLU”
- Log in to the app if you aren’t already and check the Remember me box so you won’t have to log in next time
- Tap the hamburger menu on the upper left
- Tap on “Trips”
- Tap on the [TRIPS] tab (you can have your list sort by date, pick up, drop off or trip type in either ascending or descending order)
- Find the ride and tap to highlight it
- Scroll to the right
- Tap the red X
AccessLU users may utilize goLehigh TRANSIT for on-demand bus service:
Monday - Friday: 6:30 AM - 8:30 PM*

CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT
Set up a Lyft account. You’ll need to add a credit card, in case your Lyft ride exceeds the fare cap of $15 per ride. Tips are optional and will be charged to your credit card as well. Already have a Lyft account? Go to step 3.

CONTACT TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
Once you have created your Lyft account, contact Transportation Services at inalu@lehigh.edu Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM to obtain a code to use as payment for your rides.

SUBMIT YOUR INFO
Add the code provided to the “Add Lyft Pass” section under “Payment” in the Lyft app before you request your ride. You must be in “Personal” mode for the code to apply and will only need to enter the code one time. You are entitled to four free one-way rides (up to $15 each) within the established times above and within established Lehigh University areas.If you have any questions, please contact Transportation at intransp@lehigh.edu.
