Lehigh students, faculty and staff may ride LANTA buses for FREE

For traveling to campus, faculty and staff can utilize the Lehigh Valley's LANTA (Lehigh and Northampton Transit Authority) public transportation service using their Lehigh ID and free of charge. Passengers may present their ID card upon entering the LANTA bus. Fare boxes have been configured to recognize Lehigh University identification cards.

LANTA will be starting two new bus routes on June 20th that will connect Southside with shopping and entertainment destinations in the region.

  1. Route 100 (Green Line) is our new Enhanced Bus Service route connecting Southside Bethlehem to Whitehall shopping centers via downtown Bethlehem and Allentown. It's a faster and frequent service operating at limited stops. There will be four named Station Stops in Southside with the closest to campus being “Fahy Bridge South” located on the Columbia ramp to the Fahy Bridge, and the next closest being “Southside Station” at 3rd and Fillmore (across from Starbucks at the NCC canopy). This route will run every 30 minutes from 8am-midnight Mon-Sat, 9am-9pm Sun.

  1. Route 323 (Center Valley) will be a new route connecting Bethlehem Southside to Promenade Shops. This route will operate on 378, Summit, Brodhead, and then a loop via 4th, Hayes, 3rd, Polk, Columbia, Northampton, 3rd and Brodhead making all local stops on those streets. This route will run every 2 hours 7:30am-9:30pm Weekdays only.
