Southside Common: Lehigh Affiliate Housing

Southside Commons is Lehigh’s affiliated housing, an apartment community located on Lehigh University’s campus. The property is owned and managed by Greystar, a third-party housing provider.

Open to upper class and graduate students, this community offers studio, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments that come fully furnished and include all utilities. Students who choose to live at Southside Commons are responsible for all applicable expenses, including but not limited to: deposits, damage fees and cancellation fees.

Please keep in mind that you will sign a lease directly with Greystar and your housing charges will not be billed through your Lehigh University Bursar account.

Financial Aid Benefits for Southside Commons Residents

Students who qualify for need-based financial aid may be eligible for an increase to their financial aid to help cover the cost of a 10-month lease at Southside Commons. Students who submit a complete financial aid application to the Lehigh University Office of Financial Aid by the required deadline and are approved for need-based financial aid will automatically be considered for additional aid based on the cost of Southside Commons housing. Students do not need to submit a separate request for consideration.

Financial aid recipients may also be eligible for a rent deferral through Southside Commons. Students who receive financial aid should submit a screenshot of their Net Cost from their portal to Southside Commons to be considered for the rent deferral.
