Lehigh University is proud to announce the release of the Climate Action Strategy report and ‘Pathway to Zero’ emissions to achieve net carbon neutrality by 2040. The strategy is a comprehensive roadmap and a key component of Lehigh’s 10-year Sustainability Strategic Plan 2030, which was adopted in October 2020. Spearheaded by the Office of Sustainability, in collaboration with LU Facilities, the strategy was developed over the last year and a half.
The Strategy outlines a portfolio of nine emissions reduction strategies that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save the institution money, a win-win approach. The specifics of each emissions reduction strategy are detailed in the report.
