Transportation and Parking Assessment

Throughout the fall, as part of the university’s strategic planning process, we heard the challenges students, faculty, and staff have voiced with regard to transit and parking on Lehigh’s campuses. We listened to this feedback and collected additional input through focus groups and surveys. New Bus Routes Announced for Spring 2023

Transportation Services will be piloting a new transit system beginning on Monday, January 23, 2023. We have listened to the questions, comments, and concerns received this past fall and through the strategic planning process. The feedback we’ve heard has shaped this new system to better serve the Lehigh community’s transportation needs.

Fall 2021 Commuter Survey

In Fall 2021, the Office of Sustainability in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Research and Strategic Analytics administered a Lehigh Commuter Survey to all current students, faculty, and staff. The Commuter Survey provides key insights into commuting habits, parking zone preferences, as well as views on incentives to change behavior.

Bus Service Modification - Monday, 12/28 - Thursday, 12/31/2020

As a result of the University’s decision to close from December 28th through the 31st, bus services will not be operating from 12/28 - 12/31/2020. We recognize that some of you may still need to get to and from different campus locations. Transportation & Parking Services has partnered with Lyft to provide up to 8 free rides to/and from Saucon Village, the Asa Packer, Goodman and Mountaintop campus locations.

Tapride: On-Demand Rides Around Campus Launches

Regular bus routes are currently not available on campus due to COVID-19 campus closures. However, we are pleased to announce that Lehigh University has partnered with TapRide by DoubleMap to provide on-demand rides around campus powered by Lehigh University’s Transportation Department bus drivers.

Sharon Field Named Lehigh’s Director of Transportation and Parking Services

As director, Sharon will be responsible for leading the combined offices of parking and transportation services and ensuring that the parking and transportation needs of the campus community are met. She will provide leadership and oversight for parking and transit services, manage the integration of alternative transportation options and mobility programs, and oversee Lehigh’s fleet operations.

Commuter Lot Permit Parking Update

Thank you for piloting the Founders Way and Goodman Commuter Lots over the past year. We appreciate all of the feedback we have received. An announcement will be coming out in the next few weeks to faculty and staff providing information on parking regulation updates and permit registration for the July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021 permit cycle. EV Charging Stations Added on Campus

Parking Services is pleased to announce the addition of THREE new electric vehicle (EV) charging station locations. Each station has two ports - allowing two cars to charge at each station.
